Fatal I-94 crash victims are New Richmond students

The State Patrol has identified the victims of a fatal crash in western Wisconsin.

Two teens were killed and two others were injured when their SUV rear-ended a semi that was stopped in a construction zone on Interstate 94 near Hudson Monday afternoon. The four were students at New Richmond High School.

Seventeen-year-old Joshua Goodrich and 16-year-old Jordan Johnson were killed. Goodrich was seated in the front and Jordan was in the back. The Star Tribune said the driver, 17-year-old Zachary Zajec, suffered severe head and chest injuries. He’s in critical condition at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. Another back seat passenger, 17-year-old Thomas Wanless, had minor injuries. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
