Family asks people to send mail to boy involved in Montfort shooting

Family members of Joey Slaight are asking for help during his recovery.

Joey was shot by his mother, Morgan Slaight, in Grant County at the beginning of the year.

Morgan Slaight and Joey’s brother, Jaxon, died.

Joey is recovering in Oklahoma and his family wants people to send him get well cards.

They said mail brightens his day, especially on days when he is struggling with rehab.
