Ex-deputy accused of sex assault of teen gets prison time

A former Lincoln County sheriff’s deputy accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl has been sentenced to 5 years in prison.
Zachary Dorr, 35, of Nekoosa was sentenced Tuesday. He had pleaded guilty in Marathon County Circuit Court in December to second-degree sexual assault of a child.
A criminal complaint stated Dorr took the girl to a wedding reception of two other deputies, and was seen kissing her and giving her alcohol. The complaint stated the girl said they exchanged nude photos, but had not had sex. Dorr resigned from his position as deputy after charges were filed.
Dorr said in court before he was sentenced that he “failed as a man” and “as an adult.” He said he should have “gotten out of that situation” and didn’t.
