Evelyn M. Hochstatter

Evelyn M. Hochstatter age 93, died on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Oak Hill Terrace in Waukesha. She was born on February 21, 1923 in Mendota IL to Amiel and Emily (Lachat) Didier.
Evelyn was married to Curtis Hochstatter on June 8, 1943 in Mendota, IL. Evelyn lived with her husband and family in the Mendota, IL area until 1966 when the family moved to Columbus, WI.
She was a Columbus resident for many years while she worked for the Beaver Dam school district. She retired from the Dodge County Human Services Department. Evelyn enjoyed reading and sewing and was a skilled seamstress. She was a member of St. Jerome Church and its Altar Society.
Survivors include her three sons, Thomas of Milwaukee, Michael (Barbara) of Buffalo NY and Cary (Brenda) of Columbus; three daughters Donna (Terrance) Deal of Milwaukee, Linda Hochstatter and Janine (Blaine) Waddell both of Madison; sixteen grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Mildred (Robert) Hild of Mendota IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Kent; six brothers and six sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:30 A.M., on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH, Columbus. Rev. Steve Kortendick will officiate. Interment will be in St. Jerome Cemetery, Columbus at a later date. Memorials may be made for masses or St. Jerome Church.
