Eunice Murphy

WAUWATOSA-Eunice M. Murphy, age 90, of Madison, formerly of Wauwatosa, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in Madison.

She was born on September 29, 1921 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of William Earl and Eunice Rhoda (Macknet) McKee. She was united in marriage to William G. Murphy on September 5, 1942 in Decatur, IL. Eunice was a graduate of Millikin University. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, past president of the Milwaukee Alumni Chapter, and also an advisor to alumni chapters in surrounding states. Eunice was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Wauwatosa, where she served as secretary for 17 years and was the first woman senior warden of Trinity. She was a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed book groups and writing poetry and prose.

Eunice is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth M. (William) Brice of Perrysburg, Ohio; a son, the Reverend William M. (Mary) Murphy of Lodi; five grandchildren, William M. Murphy, Matthew M. (Lindsey) Murphy, the Reverend Michael J. (Erica) Murphy, Laura (Steven) Payne, Thomas (Angee) Brice; two step grandchildren, Susan (Whit) Robinson, Cynthia Berkes and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Murphy.

Funeral services will be held at TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 1717 Church Street, Wauwatosa, WI at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 18, 2012 with the Reverend Gary Manning presiding, where a luncheon will be served. Inurnment will follow at Nashotah House Seminary in Delafield, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church.

Funeral services will be held at TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 1717 Church Street, Wauwatosa, WI at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 18, 2012 with the Reverend Gary Manning presiding, where a luncheon will be served.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will follow at Nashotah House Seminary in Delafield, WI.
