4 children fatally stabbed in Memphis; mother in custody

A man was shot at the Mills Fleet Farm in Beaver Dam Wednesday night, officials said.

The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. when an assistant manager of the North Spring Street store followed someone who may have been involved in a theft into the parking lot, officials said.

The manager was shot in the left shoulder and wrist area, and was transported with non-life-threatening injuries, Beaver Dam police said.

Officials said the suspect, who may have been involved in a theft of ammunition, drove away before police got there.

Officers on Highway 151 near Columbus located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle, authorities said. The driver was taken into custody on unrelated charges, and police are investigating the driver’s connection to the shooting.
