Emailed threat closes Milwaukee Jewish center for second time in week

MILWAUKEE — A Jewish community center in Milwaukee closed its doors Sunday after receiving a threat via email, according to its website.
The Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center tweeted at 10:22 a.m. that the facility was closed. In a second tweet at 11:26 a.m., the center said it will reopen at noon. A similar threat forced the center and multiple other Jewish community centers across the country to close on Tuesday .
Gov. Scott Walker visited the center on Tuesday to show his support for the community, tweeting that he is “Proud to stand with our Jewish neighbors.” During the visit, Walker said he plans to provide additional law enforcement intelligence and staffing so it “continues to be a safe place .”
