Ellsworth L. Henke

Ellsworth L. Henke, age 63, of Janesville, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital.

He was born in Camden, WI, the son of Kenneth and Florence (Pendleton) Henke. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and had lived in Antigo, Milwaukee, Portage, and moved to Janesville 18 years ago.

Ellsworth married Sandra S. Smith in Janesville on Nov. 12, 2000. He had worked as a Federal Correctional Officer in Oxford, retiring 20 years ago, and for the past 17 years at AMTEC Corp. in Janesville. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, and loved playing all types of cards.

Ellsworth is survived by his wife, Sandra Smith-Henke; daughters, Roxanne (Doug) Martin of West Allis and Kristen (Bill) DeHart of Antigo; mother, Florence Henke; step sons: Phillip Miller, and Aaron (fiance Alissa Taylor) Miller both of Madison, Ronald (Brenda) Fawcett of Nashville and Scott (Brenda) Miller of Madison; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Brian (Bonnie) Henke and Duncan (Karen) Henke both of Antigo; sister, Fayette (Ken) Stickney of Antigo; and many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Kenneth, Jr., and grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
