Elkhorn man dies in Walworth County crash

TOWN OF LA GRANGE, Wis. — A 23-year-old Elkhorn man died overnight after the vehicle he was driving left the road and struck a tree, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sheriff’s officials said the crash occurred on Territorial Road east of Tamarack Road in the Town of La Grange at about 3 a.m. Sunday.

The victim was indentified as Dylan O. Kaminski, who was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, sheriff’s officials said.

Officials said Kaminski was driving a Subaru Legacy westbound on Territorial Road. He left the roadway and entered the eastbound lane before entering the south side ditch. He struck a tree on the south side of the road, authorities said.

Although he was wearing his seat belt and was not ejected, the driver’s side of his vehicle struck the tree broadside and he sustained critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Walworth County Sheriff’s Office news release.

The Walworth County Crash Investigation Unit was called to the scene.

Officials said an autopsy will be performed later this week to determine the exact cause of death.

The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office said it is continuing to investigate the crash.
