Elizabeth Viola Quade

Elizabeth V. Quade, age 94 of Lake Delton, Wisconsin died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton with Reverend Dennis Schueler officiating. Burial will be at the Lake Delton Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00.

Elizabeth was born July 16, 1917 in West Allis, Wisconsin the daughter of Henning and Gerda (Karlsson) Russell. She worked at the Allis Chalmers in West Allis as a crane operator during World War II and was a member of the Rosie the Riveter Club. She married Wilbert Quade in November of 1952 in Waukegan, Illinois and then moved to the Dells. She worked at Big Joe Manufacturing and the Wisconsin Dells Chamber of Commerce. She was also a secretary for Dr. Maureen Murphy in Lyndon Station and was a nursing assistant in the Dells and at St. Clare Meadows in Baraboo, Wisconsin before she retired at the age of 79.

Elizabeth is survived by a son, Russell (Virginia) Duris of Waukesha, WI; daughter, Sandra Eckhoff of Lake Delton; sister-in-law, Ursula Russell of South Milwaukee, WI; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Wilbert; sisters, Eleanor and Betty; grandson, Jeffrey Schanke and son-in-law, Jack Eckhoff.
