Elizabeth “Liz” Lofgren

MADISON/MCFARLAND-Elizabeth “Liz” Lofgren, age 31, of Madison, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017.

She was born on Nov. 29, 1985, in Madison, the daughter of Karl Lofgren and Julie Meyer. Liz attended Sauk Prairie High School. She loved animals, painting and found a lot of joy in the small things in life.

Liz will be remembered for her infectious smile, big heart and that sparkle in her eye. She always saw the best in people and made friends easily.

Liz loved and cared about her family and always wanted to tag along with her older brother. She enjoyed summer trips with her grandparents along with her cousins, Kristina and Sara. Her favorite trip was to Kentucky where she discovered her love for horses, which led her to care for and get riding lessons one summer.

Liz is survived by her parents, Karl (Lori) and Julie; daughters, Chloe and Caydence; brother, Benjamin Lofgren; grandparents, Lois Schye, Howard and Beverly Meyer, and Dr. Gordon and Patricia Lofgren; aunts and uncles, Marna and Jack Creery, Sally and Jeff Toseff, Sue Meyer, Jennifer and Steven McGinnity, Joan and Rev. Mark Neumann, Amita Lofgren, Lt. Col. David and Giap Lofgren, Kathy and Mark Siegmann and Mark Lofgren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Martin Schye; and uncles, Mark Meyer and Daniel Lofgren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
