Elizabeth Ann Brunn

Elizabeth “Liz” Brunn, age 79, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo, Wisconsin, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Newport Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells with Reverend William Grimm officiating. Burial will be at the Newport Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Picha Funeral Home, 321 Washington Avenue in Wisconsin Dells on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the Newport Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Liz was born July 10, 1938 in Portage, Wisconsin, the daughter of Rudolph and Loretta (Breezer) Gabris. In March of 1961 she married Herbert Brunn at the Newport Lutheran Church. She drove school bus for the district of Wisconsin Dells for 39 years. Liz was a farm wife, helping her husband with chores like baling hay, driving tractor and tending to their farm animals. She loved gardening and baking pies and cookies for her family and friends. Liz was a selfless person and she devoted her time, talent, love and devotion to everything and everyone in her life.

Liz is survived by her husband Herbert; her children, Karen Brunn, Lana (Dave) Hammerly and Matt (Judy) Brunn, all of Wisconsin Dells; her grandchildren, Dayne, DaKotah and Lexey Hammerly and Erich and Katelyn Brunn; brother, Chet (Barb) Gabris of Deforest, WI; sisters, Ollie (John) Kincaid of Verona, WI and Edie (Bob) Kelley of Madison, WI; sister-in-law, Marie Gabris of New Lisbon, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Albert Gabris.
