Elinor Lucille Evans

Lone Rock – Elinor Lucille Evans, age 89, of Lone Rock, died Saturday, May 8, 2021.

She was born on May 19, 1931, the daughter of Everett and Myra (Morgan) Persinger. She loved family, friends, fancy pajamas, pretty sweaters, and anti wrinkle face cream. But mostly she loved pie and babies. She retired from Cardinal Glass after 20 years and then found her true calling which was child care.

Elinor is survived by her children, Darold (Linda) Strine, Leatrice Maass, Helen McCaffrey (Charles Funk), Cheryl Allbaugh; bonus children, Lisa Evans (Tom), Kris (Timica) Evans, Nicole (Greg) Muzzi; three brothers, Lloyd (Gail) Persinger, Robert Persinger, Doug (Karen) Persinger; three sisters, Audrey Hobbs, Patricia (Virgil) Persinger Hill, Sharon Hernan; along with numerous brothers and sisters in law, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Evans; son, Mikel; her first husband, Harold Strine; four siblings, Viola, Everett JR., Clifford, and Beatrice.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Agrace Hospice Team with Nurse Tina Hohn and her staff at the helm. Thank you for helping us to let her die at home in the presence of her loving family. Also to Dr. Luke Fortney and the RV Medical Center staff for her care over the past several years.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green with Rev. Craig Peach officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Friday from Noon until the time of service.
