Eleanor Hoskins

Eleanor Hoskins, 94, of Richland Center died Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Richland Hospital. She was born September 7, 1917 in Richland County the daughter of Sylvester and Melinda (Fairbrother) Cook.

Eleanor attended Normal School and taught in Richland County School. On June 15, 1937 she married Robert Hoskins on the family farm. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Eleanor’s biggest love was her family. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Eleanor was a faithful member of the Free Methodist Church.

Eleanor is survived by three children, Beth (Gary) Balius of Greenville, SC, Carl Hoskins of Deadwood, SD, Gerald (Lynn) Hoskins of Jackson, MI, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, daughter-in-law Donna, brother Clifford Cook, and sister Glennie Cook.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Free Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Berlin. A private family burial will be held at the Fancy Creek Cemetery.
