Eldeen M. Bockhop

Eldeen M. Bockhop, 82, of Belmont, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the United Methodist Church, Belmont. Burial will be at the Belmont Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, and will continue on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Eldeen was born on May 20, 1940 in Highland, Wisconsin, daughter of Fred and Velma (Osterndorff) Doescher. She was united in marriage to William “Wayne” Bockhop on May 14, 1960 in Fennimore, Wisconsin. Wayne preceded her in death on December 22, 2016. Eldeen worked as a bookkeeper for many local business’; Belmont Sales Barn, Belmont Equipment, Neil Schuppener, Spensley Feeds and Lands End. She enjoyed collecting owls and was an avid Badgers, Packer and Belmont Braves fan. Always looked forward to and enjoyed summer vacations, especially the trips to Chetek, Wisconsin. Eldeen loved following her grandchildren in their school activities and sports.

Eldeen is survived by her two sons, Brad (Mary) Bockhop and Brian (Lisa) Bockhop; five grandchildren, Matt Bockhop, Molly (David) Stoney, Tanner Bockhop, Tessa Bockhop and Tarron Bockhop; one brother, Roger (Cindy) Doescher; brothers and sisters-in-law, Karen (Roger) Nodorft, Gayle (Dan) Speth, Nancy Bockhop and Kathy Bockhop along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, parents, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford (Carol) Bockhop, Gary “Sparrow” Bockhop, Ron (Maggie) Bockhop, Mark Bockhop, Dan Bockhop and Beverly Lapp.
