Edna Helen Nicholls

DEFOREST-Edna Helen Nicholls, age 98, of DeForest passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society Lodi. She was born on December 1, 1918 in DeForest WI, the daughter of William and Minnie (Wolff) Lenz. She married Russell Nicholls on December 28, 1940; he preceded her in death in 1986. Edna was a homemaker and waitress at the Thunderbird Club in DeForest. She was a lifelong member of Christian Faith Moravian Church in DeForest. Edna enjoyed traveling to visit family, hand embroidering, gardening, making pickles, cooking and baking for her family to enjoy. She loved going to “Uncle Ozzie” music entertainment. In later years she always had a jigsaw puzzle on her table. At Good Samaritan she colored velvet posters and made jewelry for all to enjoy and cherish. Edna is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (John) Dunning of Lodi, WI; grandsons, Ronald (Troylyn) Dunning of Lakewood, CO and Bob (Karen) Dunning of Menasha, WI; great grandsons, Ben (Christianne) Dunning of Saskatoon, Canada and Brandon Dunning of Albuquerque, AZ and great great granddaughters, Nadine and Leila Dunning of Saskatoon, Canada. Funeral Services will be held at CHRISTIAN FAITH MORAVIAN CHURCH, 805 E. Holum St., DeForest at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 31, 2017. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pam Schultz for her loving care and friendship.
