Edgewood heads back to WIAA State Girls Golf

Madison Edgewood junior Tess Hackworthy won medalist honors with a 74 as the Crusaders won the WIAA Division Two Girls Golf Sectional at Yahara Hills in Madison Tuesday.
Hackworthy shot 37 on the front nine and 37 on the back for the lowest round of the day. Her Edgewood teammate, Caroline Lake was third individually with 79.
Edgewood won the team competition with a total of 335, 12 shots ahead of Osseo-Fairchild which also qualified its team to state next week at University Ridge in Verona.
McFarland’s Erin Culver will go to state as an individual qualifier. She tied for sixth overall with a score of 88.
Wisconsin Dells sophomore Ivy Fedewa shot 90 and missed qualifying for state by just one shot.
