Deputies: Woman left crash scene, found in Monroe

TOWN OF MONROE, Wis. — A Monticello woman left the scene of a crash that left her vehicle in a cow pasture early Thursday morning, according to a release from the Green County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the N3800 block of County Road J in the town of Monroe at 12:35 a.m. for a report of a crash and found a vehicle in a cow pasture on the west side of the road.
Investigators said the vehicle was traveling north on County Road J when the driver lost control and the vehicle slid sideways, struck a mailbox and barbed-wire fence and went airborne over a drainage ditch. The driver tried to drive out of the pasture but was stuck.
