MADISON, Wis. — A 75-year-old woman was hospitalized Monday after a driver hit her with a car on Madison’s east side.

Madison police said the woman was walking in the crosswalk at the intersection of Milwaukee Street and Wirth Court when the driver hit her. Authorities said the crash happened shortly before 2:45 p.m.
