Driver dies in car crash on I-39, officials say

TOWN OF MOUNDVILLE, Wis. — Before a Marquette County Sheriff’s deputy could respond to a car driving northbound on I-39 southbound, the vehicle crashed into a bridge Tuesday night, according to officials.
After the crash at mile marker 101 in the town of Moundville, the vehicle overturned. The driver of the car — Londa L. Geiwitz, 54, from Oxford — died at the scene, according to Marquette County Coroner Thomas Wastart.
This is the fifth traffic fatality in Marquette County in 2017, officials say.
There were no other occupants in the vehicle, according to officials.
