Doy Fowler

STOUGHTON-Doy Fowler, age 90, of Stoughton, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012. He was born on Sept. 25, 1921, in Oak Grove, Louisiana, to Louis and Pauline (Smith) Fowler.
Doy enlisted in the US Air Force in 1941 and served in Africa, France, Guam, Korea and Japan, retiring in 1964. He was united in marriage to Lucille Thrasher on June 14, 1951, in Louisiana. After Doy retired from the Air Force he worked for Oscar Mayer, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Good Shepherd By The Lake Lutheran Church.
Doy is survived by his son, Ronald (Ramona) of Stoughton: two grandchildren, Amber and Aaron; nieces, Donanne (Mario) Davila, Kathy Raine, and Sybil; nephews, David and Pat; and great nieces, Sheryl and Bonnie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Lucille.
Funeral services will be at GOOD SHEPHERD BY THE LAKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1860 Hwy. 51, Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, with the Reverend Todd McVey presiding. Burial will be at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
