Douglas A. Schiffman, 86, of Cassville, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 surrounded by his wife of 64 years and all of his 8 children. Doug was born on the home farm on March 21, 1936 the son of Harry and Virginia (Pickett) Schiffman. He attended school in Lancaster, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Marian L. Potter on August 16, 1958 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Kieler, Wisconsin. Doug drove milk truck as a young man and for 24 years worked hard as a butcher at the Dubuque Pack. He then worked as a butcher for Bloomington Meats until his retirement. After retirement Doug worked at Cabelas and for the Cassville Car Ferry, which he enjoyed tremendously. Doug and Marian loved taking fishing trips, hunting trips, trips to Florida, New Orleans and out West. He was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed a friendly game of cards. Doug especially took great pride in following his grandchildren participate in sports, dance and many Christmas programs.

Doug is survived by his wife, Marian; eight children, Pam (Jerry) White, Sharon (Tom Rauch) Schiffman, Steve (Heriyati “Rosita”) Schiffman, Lori (Marty) Reynolds, Tina (Griffin) Westerman, Sandy Pluemer, Amy (Steve) Esser, and Billy “Will” (Joyce) Schiffman; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren with one on the way; three sisters, Sharlene (James) Udelhoven, Debbie Dirkson, and Darlene O’Farrell; sisters-in-law, Shirley Schiffman and Connie Schiffman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Timothy Schiffman, his parents, brothers, Donald, David, Dick and Dale and sisters, Ilene Tracy and Diana Pasold.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2022 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Cassville. Father Greg Ihm will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the church where a rosary will be prayed at 3:45 PM, visitation will continue on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the church.
