Douglas A. Krueger

Douglas A. Krueger, 73, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Fort Memorial Hospital.
Douglas was born on September 24, 1942 in Fort Atkinson, son of the late Alvin and Genevieve (Gehrke) Krueger. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1960 and took a farm short coarse in Madison for two years. He married Sharon Liebert on July 24, 1965 at St. John’s Community Church.
Douglas, a lifelong farmer was voted the 1984 Outstanding Area Farmer by the FFA. He enjoyed bowling and attending races at Jefferson Speedway. He also enjoyed the Packers, Brewers and NASCAR and was a Matt Kenseth fan. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Sharon of Fort Atkinson; children, Darrin (Trudy) Krueger of Jefferson and Daniel (Dawn) Krueger of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Darrick Krueger of Oshkosh, Dalton Krueger of Jefferson and Lisa Smith of Janesville and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Zoe Krueger and brothers, Jerry, LaVerne, and Marvin Krueger.
Following his wishes, no service will be held at this time, a private family service will be held at a later date.
