Doreen E. Barrow

LODI-Doreen E. Barrow, age 85, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was born on October 21, 1931 in Honey Creek Township, the daughter of Albert and Elsa (Mueller) Giese.

Doreen married Thomas Barrow, he preceded her in death in 1982. She was a school bus driver for many years.

Doreen enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, sewing and making clothes for her family. She was an avid curler and golfer. Doreen also enjoyed painting, fishing, playing cards and loved traveling with her family.

Doreen is survived by her children, Barry, Rodney, Dennis (Robin), Thomas (Glenna), Doreen Ann (Steve) Powers, Allen (Gloria) and William; grandchildren, Tammy, Nathan, Wallace, Iris, Hannah, Jordan, Adam, Candace, Tiffany, Christine, Emily, Brynn, Ellery, Luke and Amber; several great grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Wyttenback and Savera Marquardt and brothers, Willard Giese and Rodney Giese. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL HOME, 157 South Main St., Lodi, at 12 noon on Friday, August 18, 2017 with Reverend Christopher Amen presiding. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
