Documents: Sun Prairie coach took pictures of students in swimsuits

Personnel documents for a former Sun Prairie cheerleading coach accused of putting a recording device in a school locker room are providing more details into a previous investigation.

Documents obtained by News 3 Tuesday said the coach was suspended for two days after it was confirmed that he took pictures of students in swimsuits. There were no charges because the students were adults.

News 3 is not naming the coach because he has not been charged.

The suspension happened before the recording device was discovered.

A letter sent to parents on Sept. 25 said the cheer team discovered a camera in a soap dispenser in a restroom on Sept. 22 at Prairie Phoenix Academy. The restroom is connected to the gym where the cheer team practices.

Another letter sent to parents after the recording device was found said the coach resigned.
