Devan Gundersen-VanWitzenburg

Verona- Devan Gundersen-VanWitzenburg (age 22) of Verona, died on Friday, January 25, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on April 3, 1990 in Oak Lawn, IL. The daughter of Douglas Van Witzenburg and Robyn Gundersen, she attended Cambridge High School in Wisconsin and graduated from Lincolnway East High School in Illinois in 2008. Following high school, she attended and graduated from Capri Beauty School in Chicago. Most recently, she worked as a Promotional Product Consultant for AdMadison. Devan had the ability to make everyone she met feel special. She truly shined when she entered a room. Her heart was always open, and she lived life to the fullest. Her beautiful and free-spirited soul will remain legendary.
Devan is survived by her mother Robyn Gundersen of Verona, step-mother Linda, and her father Douglas VanWitzenburg of Mokena, IL, three sisters; Lauren, Stephanie and Jillian, and two brothers; Douglas and Ian. Devan is also survived by her maternal grandparents; Ken & Pat Gundersen of Verona, and paternal grandparents Donald & Ginny Van Witzenburg of Crest Hill, IL. She is further survived by two uncles; Kevin and Kurt Gundersen and Aunt Karen Weisbrod, as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Danielle.
A visitation will be held at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, VERONA CHAPEL, 220 Enterprise Drive on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. with a time of sharing at 6:00 p.m.
