Deputies use Narcan on married couple

TOWN OF BURKE, Wis. — A married couple needed doses of Narcan to save both husband and wife from overdoses, according to a release from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called at 3:23 p.m. Tuesday to 5710 Portage Road in the town of Burke on a report of a man who overdosed. His wife called 911 from their car and reported that he was unresponsive.
Deputies administered four doses of Narcan to the man who regained consciousness and was taken a hospital for treatment. Deputies then administered three doses of Narcan to the woman after she became unresponsive while talking with deputies. She was also taken to a hospital.
Charges are pending and the names are not yet being released because it is still an active investigation, according to the release.
