Deputies: Drunken driver parked in road

TOWN OF BARABOO, Wis. — A drunken driver was arrested after he parked in the middle of a road in the town of Baraboo, according to a release from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to Gasper Drive just off Gall Road at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a vehicle parked in the middle of road with the driver passed out in the driver’s seat.
Deputies said Roger J. Slater, 45, of Baraboo, was unresponsive and taken by ambulance to St. Clare Hospital.
Slater was arrested on suspicion of fifth-offense operating while intoxicated, second-offense operating while revoked and for having open intoxicants in a vehicle.
