DENNIS W. “KOOTCH” KUTSCHE

It is with great sadness to announce the unexpected passing of Dennis “Kootch” W. Kutsche, 59, of Verona, WI formerly of Jefferson, WI on August 13th, 2017 in Northern Wisconsin while on vacation.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Carla Kutsche, his sons, Kyle and Jared (Bailey Bauer) Kissinger, his sisters, Marj Kutsche, Judy (Dave) Huebner, Nancy (Dave) Pepper, his nephews and niece, Shane Huebner, Michael (Lindsay) Huebner, Megan (Tom) Sherven and Kyle Jay. He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” and Elizabeth “Betty” Kutsche. They now have their only son in heaven with them.

Dennis was born in Oconomowoc, WI on January 2nd, 1958. He graduated from Jefferson Senior High School with the class of 1976. While in high school, he was active in football, basketball and baseball. He graduated from Madison Area Technical College in 1979 with a degree in Marketing. On October 16th, 1996 on a mountain in Colorado he married the love of his life and best friend, Carla, and became a devoted husband and father to sons Kyle and Jared, of whom he was very proud to parent.

Dennis was quick witted, always at your side and supportive with advice, helping you strive to do and be your best. His lifelong career was serving as a Life and Health Insurance professional, watching out for the best interest of whoever placed their trust in him with their financial future and retirement. A true professional you could trust and a husband, father, brother and friend you could count on.

Dennis and Carla loved being involved and engaged in their sons’ school sporting events. They traveled often to support the boys in their adventures, enjoyed vacations in Mexico and the Northern Woods and attending live music events. Dennis loved remodeling their home from time to time, as well as helping others with their remodeling projects. He loved watching the Green Bay Packers.

Dennis enjoyed spending time with his huge network of friends which included many deep friendships that extended back to his school days. He found ways of keeping in touch with all, whether it was a phone call or meeting for a beer.

Dennis was an avid outdoors-man having grown up with a fishing rod in his hands. His true passion for the last 30+ years was bow hunting for Whitetails. He spent much time in the woods faithfully and diligently studying the deer that roamed the land. He was eternally grateful to a dear friend who gave him access to the woodlands where he could hunt for so long. The woods will be without him now.

Dennis will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Drive, Verona, with Rev. Jeff Jacobs officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
