Democratic Sen. Tim Cullen won’t run for governor
MADISON, Wis. — Former Democratic state Sen. Tim Cullen says he won’t run for governor after all.
Cullen told reporters Wednesday that there has been a “huge challenge” in raising money for his efforts to challenge Republican Gov. Scott Walker in the 2018 election.
The decision is a change of course for Cullen, who had filed paperwork earlier this month to create a formal campaign fundraising committee.
The 73-year-old Cullen represented Janesville as a Democrat from 2011 until 2015. He previously served in the Senate between 1975 and 1987.

Bob Harlow
Recent college graduate Bob Harlow, who grew up near Barneveld and recently returned to the area, is the only Democrat who has officially announced a run. He has never held any political office.
