Delores Stamper

MADISON-Delores Stamper, age 85, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Karmenta Center. She was born on Sept. 8, 1926, in Madison, the daughter of Paul and Alma (Hanson) Hart.
She married Fred Stamper in 1946. Delores worked for The Emporium Department Store in downtown Madison and Humiston-Keeling Drug Company for 26 years, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Delores also loved having garage sales and shopping at garage sales. She was a member of the Moose No. 291 and Eagles Ladies’ Auxiliary.
Delores is survived by nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1981; brothers, Marvel and Clare “Tunny”; sisters, Caroline Ward and Crystal May Fett.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Memorials may be made to Northside Senior Coalition, 1625 Northport Drive #125, Madison, WI. 53704.
