Delores L. Cremer

Delores L. Cremer

Delores L. Cremer, of DeForest, WI & formerly of Sun Prairie, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2012.

Delores, known to everyone as Tootie, was born on May 19, 1934 to Louis & Helen (Huber) Parr of Sun Prairie.

Tootie enjoyed sharing her stories about the good old days. She often reminisced of her Sun Prairie HS years and how much fun she had with her classmates engaging in youthful shenanigans throughout the school year. Her most memorable experiences were being on Prom Court, Homecoming Court, cheerleading and the parties they use to have in the basement of her parent’s home.

In 1950 she met her true love Tom Cremer and on May 7, 1951 they united in marriage. With her husband owning and operating a construction company and Tootie mastering the art of motherhood, one would think she couldn’t possibly have time to herself…..oh, but she did! Tootie was a Super Diva; her favorite pastime (aside from her mandatory Friday beauty shop appointments) was shopping! And, as with everything else, she excelled at it. There wasn’t a shoe she didn’t like…..or a watch……or a purse; it was always a QVC Christmas at the Cremer house.

While retirement suited them well, both Tom & Tootie agreed that they had enough of the Wisconsin winters, so in 1995 they decided to become Snow Birds and purchased a part-time home in Sun City, AZ where “it was always Five O’ Clock“! She quickly became friends with everyone, enjoying cocktails, socializing and staying a true Green Bay Packers fan. (Secretly we believe that the most fun she had was calling her kids back home every weekend to let them know what kind of treasures she found shopping at Swap Meets on the weekends!)

After her husbands passing in 2008, Tootie spent most of her days with her family in Wisconsin.

Tootie touched the hearts of many and was such an outgoing, amazing, strong woman. Her contagious smile and laughter will be dearly missed by all.

Tootie is survived by her son Scott, and daughters Vicki, Connie (Mark), Pam and Cathy, her brother Harold (Diana) Parr, her grandchildren Josh, Jenna, Brett, Dylan and beloved grand-dog Riley Jo. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom (1930-2008), her son Steven (1951-1964) and brother Gerald.

The family would like to express their sincere gratefulness to the Walnut Grove Assisted Living staff.

Mom, you are and will forever be my best friend! I love you.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
