Delivery driver assaulted, belongings stolen

MADISON, Wis. — A delivery driver was assaulted and had several items stolen while making a delivery on Madison’s far west side Saturday afternoon, Madison police said.
Police said the driver contacted them around 5 p.m. after being confronted by three suspects in the 6500 block of Raymond Road who tried to steal his wallet. The driver fled but tripped and fell before being assaulted by the trio, who fled with some of his belongings.
Police said the robbers are described as three teenage black men wearing jeans and shirts that may have had hoods.
