DCSO: Two dead after car crashed into building near Edgerton
TOWN OF ALBION, Wis. — The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is leading an investigation into what caused a deadly crash Sunday night near Edgerton.
Dane County Sheriff’s officials said the crash happened in the 500 block of Albion Road, south of Edgerton Road just before 9:30 p.m.
Officials said the driver lost control and their car hit a building. The driver and passenger were ejected.
First responders gave life-saving measures, but both people were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the identities of the victims at this time.
According to a press release, alcohol and speed appear to be a factor in the crash.
