David L. Fasel

David L. Fasel, age 58, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at UW Hospital, after a courageous battle with liver disease and following complications from the transplant surgery.
He was born on February 1, 1959, in Hancock, the son of Leo and Anna (Kulmatycki) Fasel. David married Rosetta “Rose” Hackl on September 20, 2016 in Janesville. He had been employed at Union Pacific Rail Road for 38 years.
David loved cars, fishing, and animals. He was also an eye donor following his death.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; 2 step-sons: Jay (Becky) Hatcher of Juneau, WI, Michael Capps of Janesville; he will be lovingly missed by his granddaughter Kennedy; his dog Pumpkin; special friend, Steve Pignato of Janesville; 3 sister-in-law’s: Roxanne (Steve), Renata (George), and Rebecca; mother-in-law, Nellie Hackl; and many other relatives and friends. David is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mark Fasel; and dog, Sia.
A celebration of life will be held starting at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Drunken Monkey, 1802 Center Ave., Janesville, WI 53546.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Southern Wisconsin Humane Society. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
