David Gary Larson

David Larson, age 73 of Baraboo, Wisconsin died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton, Wisconsin with Pastor Jim Jaeger officiating. Visitation will be held at Picha Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:30 p.m.
David was born June 28, 1942 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin the son of Arnold and Sarah (Erickson) Larson. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed overseas in Japan. In June of 1985 he married Christine Gray in Oak Park, Illinois. For many years he worked at the eastside post office in Madison, Wisconsin. David enjoyed the outdoors, working on yard projects, taking short trips and visiting state parks, and he was a bit of a history buff able to tell a story about every site visited.
David is survived by his wife, Christine; children, Jeffrey (Tasha) Larson of Elk Ridge, Maryland, Gregory (Howard McHenry) Larson of Colorado, David Larson and Dana Larson both of Wisconsin Dells, Eugene (Jennifer) Staples of River Forest, Illinois and Scott Staples of Chicago, Illinois; brothers, Gordon Larson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Russell (Isabelle) Larson of Sun City, Arizona; a sister, Janice Beguhn of Burnsville, Minnesota; and grandchildren, Ben, Sierra, Solomon, Belle, Holly and Lucy Larson and Alex, Madison, Isabella, and Eiam Staples. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Arvid and Stanley.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
