David Douglas Swan

MADISON- David Douglas Swan, age 53, of Madison passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the UW Hospital after a short battle with liver cancer. David was born on Aug. 4, 1958, to Lawrence and Marion Swan of Madison.

He attended Marquette Elementary School and graduated from Madison East High School in 1976. David worked for Appliance Mart for four years. He moved to Colorado in 1981, where he was employed installing burglar alarm systems, returning to Madison in 1989. David loved music and photography, developing his own photos.

David is survived by his brothers, Phil (Kathy) Swan of Mexico and Jeff Swan of Madison; sister, Susan Swan of Madison; half-sister, Diane (James) Gleason of Eagle River; and two nephews. David was preceded in death by his father in 1975; and his mother in 2006. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
