Darrell L. Persinger

Darrell L. Persinger, 83, of Richland Center, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the Richland Hospital. He was born on June 2, 1939, in Richland County, the son of Guy and Geraldine (Anderson) Persinger. Darrell was raised in Basswood and attended school in Muscoda. He married Waneta Morris on September 20, 1958, at the Basswood Church and together they had five children. Darrell drove truck for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, doing scratch-offs, and playing cards with his friends at the Legion.

Darrell is survived by his wife Waneta of 63 years, children: Timothy (Cathy) Persinger, Tammy (Leonard) Johnson, Thomas (Angie) Persinger, Terry Persinger, Troy (Bobbi Jo) Persinger; grandchildren: Tonya (Shannon) Rosson, Eric Hunt, Jade Persinger, Joni (Cody) Schara, Jared (Ashley) Hunt, Kayla (Nat) Persinger, Casey Persinger, Jessica (Aron) Johnson, Sara (Dan) Johnson, Brittany Persinger, Faith (Jesse) Technau, Wyatt Larson, Cheyenne (Thomas) Larson; 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, sisters: Beverly Knight, Diane (Russell) Stephenson, Sandy (Steve) Evans; brother-in-law: Brad Ruhland; sisters-in-law: Betty Persinger, Janet Persinger; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Arleigh, Gerald, Ralph, Larry, sister, Judy, grandson, Troy Jacob, Sean, great-grandson, Chase, daughter-in-law, Kristy Persinger, brother-in-law, Fred Knight and John Evans.
