Dannie L. Stanton Sr.

JANESVILLE—-Dannie L. Stanton, age 66, of Janesville, died on Monday, July 2, 2012, at home. He was born in Platteville on July 7, 1945, the son of Robert Keith and Frances (Corpian) Baker.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Staff Clerk. Dannie had been employed as a semi driver by Ryder and Swiss Colony, had worked as an animal handler for the Omaha Zoo, and last at Advance Security Investigations. He was an avid CB radio operator, and enjoyed listening to the scanner and watching western movies.
He is survived by his loving companion, Barb Hall of Janesville; 7 children: Danyell (fiance’ Fernando Gonzalez) Stanton of Janesville, Dannie (Shauna) Stanton, Jr. of Janesville, Crystal (Mauro) Romero of Beloit, John (Patty) Stanton of New Diggings, WI, Sandee (Bill) Turner of Fond du Lac, Lori (Todd) Gratz of Linden, WI and Debbie (Randy) Priest of Appleton; 4 step children: Arizona Kadle, Michael Hall, Amber McNulty and Melissa McNulty; 51 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 6 siblings: Roseina (James) Stiefel of Eustis, FL, Connie Fleming of Janesville, Betty Jo Clough of Janesville, Mark (Lorene) Baker of Edgerton, Robin (Dennis) Baker-Pfuhl of Janesville and Keith Baker of Janesville; his loving dog, Baby; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 loving dogs, Nicky and Candy.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park with full military honors. A visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
