Dane Co. sheriff to provide update on missing couple investigation this afternoon

MADISON, Wis. — Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett will provide an update on the investigation into a missing couple from the Town of Windsor Friday afternoon.

Bart and Krista Halderson have not been seen since last week. Their son, Chandler Halderson, says the couple were picked up for a trip to their cabin in Langlade County before he woke up at 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 1st.

However, Chandler Halderson was arrested Thursday night for allegedly providing investigators false information about his parents’ whereabouts. He spoke to News 3 Now just hours before he was arrested, recounting what he said he knew. You can listen to the entire conversation here.
