Dalton L. Anderson

Dalton L. Anderson, age 87 of Chicago, formerly of Dodgeville, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012 at his home in Chicago.

Dalton was born, along with his twin sister Margerete, on July 5, 1924 in Nebraska to Roy and Margeret (Adams) Anderson. Their mother died the day after their birth and they were moved to Dodgeville, WI where Roy’s parents help to raise the twins.

Following graduation from Dodgeville High School, Dalton served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He then attended UW-Madison where he earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1949 and his Law Degree in 1952. During his college days, he was on the UW Boxing Team and the UW Track Team where he was a Champion Shot Putter. Dalton worked as a lawyer for Standard Oil Company in Chicago for many years. He enjoyed flying, traveling and building model airplanes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin sister, Margerete Zaloga.

Dalton is survived by a nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville. Pastor Steven R. Kottke will officiate with burial in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon until the time of services.
