MADISON-Cynthia Jane (Becker) Stabler, age 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2017, surrounded by her family at Agrace HospiceCare.
She was born June 11, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of Robert and Marilyn Becker.
She is survived by her daughter, Ronda Call; three sisters, Pam Gelein, Helen Becker and Carol Whitney (Gimble); special sister-in-law, Frances Stabler Meyer; and an extended family of in-laws and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Becker; and sister, Abbe Vining.
Cindy and Ronda began their life together in the Republic of Panama, and later loved their first home on Pikes Peak Road in Ridgeway. After moving away, Cindy annually enjoyed throwing a party “out in the country” on her beloved land. She was active in St. Bernard Catholic Church, The Luke House, and volunteered for the National Kidney Foundation. Cindy was also a founding member of the Madison Chapter of the Wisconsin Women’s Rugby Football Club. Cindy will be remembered for her many friendships, some life-long, and as someone who was always smiling. Despite chronic health issues for over 40 years, she never complained! She will be forever missed.
