Curtis M. Draves

WATERTOWN / MADISON – Curtis “Curt” M. Draves, age 52, born to eternal life on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Curt was born on June 15, 1960 in Watertown, WI to Clarence and Myra Draves. After high school he joined the US Marine Corps and traveled through-out the Pacific. He was a member of Professional Association of Diving Instructors. During this time he met and married his wife Mylah in the Philippines. After active duty, they returned to Wisconsin to start a family. Curt was a life member of the VFW 8483 and was an avid volunteer for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and one of his greatest pleasures in life was camping with his family and friends. Curt was well loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Curt is survived by his wife of 30 years Mylah; sons, Bryan (Melissa Fordahl), John, Mark and Mike; mother, Myra; brother, Robert (Pamela) and sister-in-law, Kathy and her children. Further survived by many other family and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Clarence; sister, Sandy; brother, David and nephew Jason.
A memorial service will be held at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave, Madison, at 1PM on Saturday, January 12, 2013, with Deacon Todd Martin presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia, WI.
