Cross Plains crash leaves one dead, two injured

CROSS PLAINS, Wis. — One person is dead and two are injured after a car crash in Cross Plains Saturday.

According to a news release, the driver lost control of the SUV on Old Military Rd. going east, causing the vehicle to go off the road and roll.

One male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while two other occupants were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of 10:30 p.m., Old Military Rd. was closed to traffic for further investigation into the cause of the crash.

The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased once the family is notified.
