Crews responding to Janesville landfill fire
JANESVILLE, Wis. — Crews are responding to a fire at a landfill in Janesville Thursday evening.
A Rock County dispatcher said a 911 call came in around 4:25 p.m. for a brush fire. Multiple fire departments have been called to the scene on Black Bridge Road.
No injuries have been reported.
Viewer video shared with News 3 Now shows a large plume of black smoke rising in the area.
On Facebook, the Janesville Police Department the fire is on the northwest side of the property. It’s unclear how the fire started.
Police added there is no safety concern for the general public at this point.
