Coffee for Champions raises money for Special Olympics
JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Rock County Sheriff’s Department and Dunkin Donuts teamed up to raise money for the Special Olympics as people got their coffee Friday.
What used to be called “Cop on a Rooftop” is now being called “Coffee for Champions,” since officers are not allowed on the rooftops anymore.

Sgt. Chris Krahn from the Rock County Sheriff’s Department said he was excited to get out to help others.
“We raised over $3,000 in 2019, we obviously took a year off with COVID, and now we’re back in 2021 and we’re excited to be back and talking to people and getting donations for a good cause,” Sgt. Krahn said.
Everyone who donated to the cause received a coupon for a free donut.
The effort stretched across the state, with law enforcement officials being stationed at more than 50 Dunkin locations across Wisconsin, including Madison, Monona, Monroe, Platteville, Portage, Sauk City, Stoughton, Sun Prairie, Waunakee and Wisconsin Dells.
