Co-worker attacked while walking downtown

A man was attacked by a co-worker while walking downtown with his wife Thursday night, according to a release from Madison police.
Police said the 35-year-old downtown resident was attacked at about 6:30 p.m. in the 500 block of North Pinckney Street when Tony L. Stewart, 22, of Madison, jumped out of a car and started delivering punches.
The victim told police Stewart is a co-worker with whom he had a recent disagreement.
Witnesses told police the man was knocked to the ground and Stewart got on top of him and delivered punches to his head.
The victim was taken to a hospital with head injuries.
Stewart drove away but was later located by town of Madison police, according to the release. He was arrested on suspicion of substantial battery and disorderly conduct.
