Clara Lou Brunner

MADISON-Clara Lou Brunner, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. She was born on December 22, 1940 in Streator, Illinois the daughter of Richard and Ina Gertrude (Sullivan) Dawson.

Clara earned a Master’s degree in special education from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Robert A. Brunner on December 26, 1971. He preceded her in death in 1985.

Clara had a passion for taking care of others. She enjoyed playing games, cards, bowling, gardening and surfing on her computer, but truly treasured most the time spent with her family and friends.

Clara is survived by her children, Laura Brunner and Karl Brunner; her mother, Ina Dawson; two brothers, Edward (Leslie) Dawson and William (Micky) Dawson, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her father, Richard; two brothers Richard and Robert and a sister, Janice.

A celebration of Clara’s life will be held at All Saints Community, 8202 Highview Drive, Madison from 12:00 (Noon) until 3:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2012.
