City of Madison introducing final Vision Zero changes of 2021
MADISON, Wis. – The final round of speed reductions for this year are coming to some Madison roads next week.
The speed limit on portions of Cottage Grove Road will be lowered Monday.
The stretch of road from Drexel to Highway 51 will lower from 30 mph to 25.
From Highway 51 to Flora the speed limit will be lowered from 35 mph to 30 mph.
The changes are just another part of Vision Zero, which the city says is making roads safer.

Officials say that lowering the speed limit by 5 mph on streets helps improve road safety.
