Police said a Janesville man arrested on suspicion of OWI causing injury to passenger under 16 was driving intoxicated with a child in the car after spending time at an area bar.

On Friday, Janesville Police Department responded to a report of a crash with injury at the intersection of North Pine St and Linden Ave.

According to the report, officers identified the driver as Casey J. Truman, 26, and a 7-year-old boy as the passenger.

Police said Truman was the same man in two other reports from earlier, one report of an intoxicated man at Riders Inn with a child and another regarding an intoxicated driver matching the description of the person seen at Riders Inn.

Truman failed field sobriety tests and a test of his breath indicated his blood alcohol level was .16, according to the report.

Police said the boy suffered minor injuries and was released from Mercy Hospital to an adult.

The report said Truman was being held at the Rock County Jail on suspicion of multiple charges including OWI causing injury to passenger under 16, prohibited alcohol concentration, violation of child safety restraint and too fast for conditions.
